Hi friends!

This is their answers. What do you guys think? Thank you again!

Thank you for your e-mail.

NO! Nobody can’t without the correct passcode. All data is encrypted with 256-bit and we GUARANTEE that there are no backdoors for nobody.

That’s our philosophy that includes also to not track any user or app usage information.

If you believe it or not, please feel free to test the app (if you’re unhappy you will get your money back) and check the internet regarding the security function we have in our apps.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

This is their answer regarding to questio. Thank you!

Sure. In TimeLock we have integrated a feature called „iFile feature“. When you enable that feature (only works within your internal wifi home network) you’re able to upload and download files from your pc/laptop to or from the vault.

That makes it easy e.g. to upload documents from your pc/laptop directly in the secure vault.

My biggest worry would be data loss. I've seen numerous posts where people used third party apps to hide various types of files where people have lost access to their files. If something goes wrong with the app, depending on how good the support is, you may or may not be able to recover your information.

I think, based on the nature of iOS programs, that it's unlikely that the developers are getting access to your information.

Your best option is to put a complex passcode on your phone. Apple will not have access to your data nor will anyone else.

Thanks, I couldn't seem to find it this morning. It is difficult to tell from their information where the content is saved; the iOS device or their end. The other thing is about the statement regarding secure uploads with a browser. That makes me believe the content is stored somewhere besides the phone. I guess one would have to ask questions of the developer to be sure. Then again, I've not had time to really research this since I'm working.

Indeed... and the following statement on their site (https://www.protectstar.com/en/products/time-lock):

The TimeLock™ integrates a powerful vault, which comprehensively protects all the backed up photos and videos in it, while offering unmatched usability.

I conclude the videos/photos etc are stored (or backed up) on their site. They can't call it a backup if it's stored in one place, the iPad/iPhone.

Hi,
This is their answer regarding where datas are stored. Thank you!

Yes, all data is stored local on your device. So please note that you can only store as much data as your device has (e.g. 16/32GB - depending on the free space you have).

Thank you for your reply. But the information will store local on my phone or store on your server? Thanks!

Hi,

Also i thought whatever apps are selling from appstore is already check by apple before it's allowed to sell from appstore? Is this right? Thanks

The apps are checked to make sure they conform to Apple's rules for how apps should be written. Apple doesn't check things like what the developer does with information you have given them once it's transferred to the developer's server.
