Q: Swap 2015 MacBook Pro base model of upgraded version with dedicated graphics.

The Story

I purchased the base model 15 inch MacBook Pro just over a month ago.  Almost immediately after I purchased it I began considering if I should swap it in for the upgraded version with dedicated graphics.  I discovered there were refurbished models priced at what I paid for mine.  I called Apple with the intentions of swapping my MacBook for the refurbished one. However, after speaking with the representative for just over and hour, I was convinced to keep my current MacBook. He explained that since it's very unlikely for any of my local stores to stock the refurbished model I am interested in, I would need to purchase the refurbished model out-right online. He also explained my current one is still very powerful and it's not really necessary to upgrade.  So I decided to keep it.

The Problem

Well, now that I've had the notebook for several weeks, I really wish I had just purchased the upgraded notebook, refurbished or not. I've been gaming more and editing less. I'm currently into a 16 vs 16 online multiplayer game which isn't graphic intensive but my MacBook has been running at a constant 200 degree F, even on the absolute lowest graphics settings. I can't imagine how it would run triple-A titles.

I'm a student and I spent a lot on this notebook. For as much as I paid, another $500 would have made a huge difference in my experience of owning my first Mac, especially since I continued to invest in it with many of the Apple brand peripherals including the Magic Mouse II, Magic Keyboard and Apple TV.  Is there anyway I could still swap in my notebook for the upgraded variation?  The MacBook is in absolutely immaculate condition - I've installed the Moshi screen protector, Moshi clearguard keyboard protector and Moshi palm-guard. I also have the original box and manuals and a second brand-new magsafe charger.
