Photos export unmodified original greyed out

Tried to use Adobe Bridge with their Photo Downloader and it's not working due to changes made my Apple in El Caput. Thanks for that. Tried to get hold of my photos using Apple's Photos. It imports them but then I cannot access them with PhotoShop. Tried to Export Unmodified Originals but that's greyed out. Any ideas on what I can do (apart from my next step which will be to download Bridge to my Windows 10 machine)?

Mac mini, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

They're there ok - just cannot manage to import them to my Mac. Tried all variable I could think of. But they were all transferred to my Windows 10 box after I downloaded Adobe's Bridge. I also phoned Adobe and they said to use a memory card as Apple are making changes to connecting direct from the camera, which is what I'm going to do in future. Seems a poor way to manage the consumer experience to make changes out the blue like this that impacts another digital ecosystem such as Adobe's. Whatever happened to interoperability?
