Q: Macbook always boot up to Os x utilities
I know there are many questions out there like this but all of them do not help with my problem.
So as you can tell by the title my macbook keeps booting into this os x utilities mode and I dont know what to do. I have tried pretty much every method into how to boot the macbook so that it will go to the normal os but none works. It seems that this is giant rolling snowball. Everytime i find a problem it leads to another problem. And another. And another!
But I did find something though. Many of solutions in the internet involves this thing called Macintosh HD. So I tried the hold alt at boot up and guess what.
Macintosh Hd wasn't there. So, with even more searching on the internet, the most reasonable solution was to reinstall OS X. So I tried to reinstall it aaaaand.
I got another problem.
It says "An error occured while preparing installation".
I am not a mac user but that is by far the most vague error message I have seen.
So at this point I am at the verge of giving up.
Please help me with this problem. I really do think the problem is with the Macintosh HD which is not in my computer.
Also, the only other things that appears on the hold alt at boot up menu is recovery HD. To me it seems that the macbook loads up this disk everytimr which makes it boot into OS x utilities. At startup theres also a loading bar below the apple logog everytime it boots if that helps.
Again I am not a mac user please dont use any advanced terms please thanks!
