Q: Can't get TSN or CTV Apps

I just bought a 32GB Apple TV and tried looking to download apps, but can't seem to get any of my apps like I have on my phone. Specifically, I'm looking for TSN, CTV, Global TV etc. I'm in Canada, and was under the understanding that I could get those Apps on the Apple TV.

the appletv does not run iPhone and iPad apps it run appletv apps only
some apps are only available in some countrys

Canada here too and it seems most of the Canadian networks have yet to release updated apps for the Apple TV app store. Hopefully new apps start to show up soon but in the meantime you can usually Airplay from the iPhone or iPad to the Apple TV.
