Q: outgoing mail

In the "from" field in an outgoing Mail message, I don't see all of my accounts, and am unable to choose a Gmail account. Do I have a setting that's incorrect?

    The from field is selected based on a list of reply addresses for the particular mail server you've selected.   You're probably missing a few entries for whatever mail server you're currently using.

     

    Mail.app > Mail > Preferences > Accounts > select the account > Account Information > Email Address (should be a comma-separated list of addresses)

    Try checking your Contacts application to make sure you have a contact set up for yourself and the card is marked by going to Contacts/Card/Make This My Card.
