Purchased mac pro 2008. Wish to run apple hardware test but do not have the disks. Are the installation disks (which have the hardware test) region free? I have found a set from the UK.

No retail Mac OS X DVD contains the Apple Hardware Test. If you happen to get replacement original disks for your Mac model, yes.

Wow - thank you so very much for your rapid response. so the disks would be regions free (or should be...) I will likely be taking a chance they might not be for my particular Mac Pro 2008. the test may be different for the quad core than for the eight core. Will check some more numbers.
