How can Photo be viewed on a Sony smart TV

How can photos from the Photo app. & music in ITunes on my Mac be played through a Sony smart TV?Can the wireless capability be used for this? Or could you copy photos & music to an external hard disc or USB stick & then connect the HD( or stick) to a USB port on the TV?Would a USB dongle work?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), Photo v1.0.1(215.65.0)

There are several options, a few would depend on the features and capabilities of the Tv.

You can copy the pictures to a USB or external hard drive sure, and if the TV supports it, (most do) plug it into the TV's USB port to be viewed. You would need to check with the Tv's manual to find instructions on how the Photos needs to be arranged on the USB or external hard drive.

You could always use an Apple TV, and HomeSharing or iCloud Photos

Also, you can always plug a Mac to a Tv via HDMI and view its screen on the TV.

At the end of the day it depends largely on what your TV can do, as what would be most convenient for you.

Take a look at your TV's manual and see what options it offers.

I don't know enough about Sony Smart TVs to tell you if you can use AirPlay on your Mac to play them over Wi-Fi.

The easiest way is to purchase Apple TV. In addition to providing other services, it can connect directly to iTunes on your Mac and play whatever music or videos you have there. It also supports Photos, so you can show slideshows from the photos on your computer.

THere are cheaper alternatives than Apple TV, but you can't do better for ease-of-use and integration with your Mac. Take look at this page https://www.apple.com/tv/
