where is clipboard and how to use it

I recently bought a 'new' MacMini (2014 model) with El Capitan, OS X10.11.3

My questions:

1. Where is clipboard, literally how do I find it and how do I access it? Never used it before. Typing 'clipboard' into Spotlight give no useable help.

2. I believe I know how to take screen shots, but how do I move a screen shot into an email or iMessage or any other document? Somewhere I read a screen shot can be stored in clipboard.

Thanks,

Jay

By default, screen shots command + shift +3 puts a png file on the desktop. You can change it to another location via command line. Just import the image to your file.

I use Jump Cut to save my last 20 clips. I forget where I downloaded it from.

FYI, please be careful if/when you want to download any third party app; the only safe place is to download it either from the app store or the developer himself (if you trust him/them). Downloading anything from download sites is not recommended as some have begun to include adware or malware with the app downloads they offer.
