I don't know what a transient is. what does the delete transients function do? thank you

A transient is a point in time of an audio waveform where there is defined peak amplitude/spike or gradient. It is the just at the point of attack of a waveform and is used in logic for various functions. Transient markers can be manually created and deleted in the audio file editor.
