Q: album or project not opening when clicked

I am on an iMac running Yosemite and using most recent/last Aperture [I am REALLY going to miss it!!] and working with a relatively small library that otherwise is fine [this also happened today on some other albums or projects] -- I can click on Projects and click on one [using my mouse, batteries are fine and no hints of problems from other apps]  and nothing shows up, - I make sure Show All is in the selection area -

right now on that 1200 image library even clicking on Projects and Photos in upper area ends up with nothing == if I go to the area below for Projects, then I can [sometimes] open them, but not always and also not always true of Albums

I have quit the library and reopened [and done this with others as well] and same thing =

But I can't see the Projects or the Photos in bulk so I can even create albums.
