Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear that you are having these issues with your iPhone. I'm a bit unclear of the source for the files in question, but if you are having issues opening PDFs in iBooks, you may want to double-check the process outlined in the following article:

Mar 19, 2016 8:38 AM in response to brenden dvby beizalez,Brenden dv, thanks for you anwser but it didn't work for me, I know how to open a PDF but my iphone wont let me, once it downloads the PDF the only option when I press on it is "save image" or "copy". It wont give me options to open it to other apps and i will not show me the whole document only the first page.

I'm sorry to hear that that wasn't more helpful. Have you tested this with PDFs you've attached and emailed to yourself, or has this only been with PDFs sent to you by other people? What if you go to a PDF link in Safari, like:
https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1731/en_US/imac-21-late2015-essent ials.pdf

Mar 19, 2016 2:34 PM in response to beizalezby elcpu,I recommend downloading the Adobe Acrobat Reader app (free at the App Store). I use it for opening and saving all my pdfs - works very well.
