Where did my audio books go after iTunes update

After I updated iTunes, my audio books and history of purchased songs and audiobooks are gone.Where did they go? My playlist only shows a couple audio books and few chapters, not the whole thing. My itunes is in my PC.

If they no longer in the Books section of your library you've checked to see if they are still on your computer's hard-drive ? If they are on your computer you can add them back via File > Add To Library

Or copy them back from your backup of your downloads/library add them back into iTunes

Or you might, if they are still in the store, be able to redownload them (being able to redownload audiobooks is a recent addition) : Download your past purchases - Apple Support.

Songs you should, if they are still in the store, be able to redownload them

You ca't put purchases in the cloud, whether they will show there relies upon the rights-holder not removing them from the store and you not moving countries.

With iOS 9.3, and iTunes 12.3.3 on a computer, audiobooks should now show in the Purchased section (Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage) for redownloading (as long as they are still in the store) - mine now show there, including one that I bought years ago which I'd forgotten about

My understanding is that audiobooks (and ringtones) can not be re-downloaded. You should be able to copy them from your device to your computer and sync from there to other devices. Make sure you always keep a backup.

You might look at his article on transferring purchases from your iOS device to a computer:

Thank you. They were old purchases, so they're no longer re-downloadable. I couldn't find them in my HD, however, I did locate them, accidentally, in OneDrive. Only problem, I can't put them into itunes. It's not taking all the chapters and I get an error message, "Audiobook could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"

Was wondering if I could not put everything in the cloud? That's where it gets messy.
