Q: Can I retrive delete imssages?

I am trying to look up some iMessages I deleted is it possible to retrieve them?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.2

Yes from either your iTunes or icloud backup Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

If you didn't back them up, then the message is gone.
