Mar 18, 2016 1:07 PM in response to MV5237by 300Swagg,Physical copies of photos are not saved in iTunes but rather saved within your back-up in itunes (which is "not" viewable) until you restore an iPhone with the back-up saved. You can delete the back in itunes if you feel it's necessary.

Mar 18, 2016 1:12 PM in response to MV5237by Demo,All photos that are shot with the camera, saved from websites or emails and screenshots are saved by default to the camera roll. If you have created albums on the phone, go to the camera roll, tap Select in the upper right, and select all of the photos that you want to place into the album by tapping on them. Then tap on Add To at the bottom and select the album that you want to add the photos into.
You can not delete photos from the camera roll after placing the photos into albums, because the albums on the phone that you created, do not contain copies of the photos but merely pointers to those photos. If you delete them from the camera roll, that are deleted everywhere.
You can add synced photos to albums the same way that you add photos that you took with the camera.
Photos are not stored in iTunes. ITunes is the conduit through which the photos move from the computer to the phone. I would strongly suggest not deleting the photos from your computer after you sync them to the phone be used the computer gives you a place to keep your photos safe if something happens to the phone.
IF you want to delete synced photos from the phone, you have to unsync them using iTunes as described here.

HI There!
I just upgraded to an iPhone 6s but I wanted to instead of having all my pictures save to my camera roll, I wanted to individually be able to place them in the albums I have created.
You can "place" pictures in new Albums that you create in your iPhone Photos App HOWEVER the pictures will not move over and they are not copies, i.e, what you see in the Albums are pointers to the pictures in Camera Roll. If you delete them in Camera Roll they will delete in the Albums and vice versa. Take a new junk picture and try it.
You cannot move your pictures away from camera roll in an iPhone. There is an alternative however, import your pictures to your computer and then sync them back to your phone. Then you can delete them from camera roll and also, as important, have a backup in your computer.

And I was also wondering how I would delete the pictures off of iTunes after they have been placed in my albums?
Do you mean Photos instead of iTunes?
Any help woul be appreciated!

I Don't worry about it. It happens to me all the time. No problem having the information appear twice for emphasis!

Great choice to save them on a separate drive but why delete them from your computer if you have space there? USB drives are good but not perfect. With pictures that cannot be replaced I would make sure they are backed up well (two places??).
And no, I do not wear belts and suspenders at the same time...
