Pop up asked to change passcode

Is this a work phone? Do you have an Exchange account?

Was this a text message? How did it arrive on your phone? If a text the message is a phishing scam. Phones that have not been jailbroken cannot catch viruses but texts and emails can be received asking for personal info. Never reply.

I would go into Settings - Safari - Clear Website History and Cache - for good measure

Hard to say since it is not clear where the pop up came from. Your screenshot shows the Camera App. How can a pop up show up there ????? They usually show up on Safari or a text. The only way to be absolutely safe would be to Restore your phone as New and change your affected passwords. This is time consuming, particularly configuring your apps and settings from scratch.

Notifications can show up on any screen with any app.

The second screen popping up is not the same one that Apple normally displays for entering a numeric passcode. I wonder if one of those mail accounts is a work account?

No, you asked if it was a work iPhone. Some workplaces use gmail email accounts.

Yes, but there are many people (and lots have posted here) that have their own personal iPhone but put a work email account on that iPhone. If they do then they accept the rules of their employer who can set a profile on the iPhone.

Random thought, see what you think: If this is a second-hand phone could the OP have an old profile on it?

If the second box where it asked for the passcode was four dashes then that would be from Apple. You can check your Settings to see if you have a profile on the iPhone. I've never seen where the iPhone pops up a screen that gives you 60 minutes to change your passcode.

Qwerty, it never hurts to contact Apple. Perhap you should, if nothing else for peace of mind.

Are you having any issues now? You could also do a system restore as New and change your Apple password and passcode. This takes a bit of time but you would have an absolutely clean phone, also for peace of mind.
