Q: Aperture lost with all my images after OS upgrade

Hi, Liesl here.  I have just upgraded my MAC pro OX to EL Capitan 10.11.3 and have lost use of my Aperture 3.  It says this is no longer supported.  What happened to all my thousands of photos.  I am devastated.  PLease can someone help me.  I cannot upgrade Aperture it seems as I have moved country and its not compatible etc etc.  Any advice would be so amazing.

If you need a feature which Aperture has but Photos doesn't, click here and follow the instructions.

I have Aperture 3.6 on my Macbook Pro and it is incompatible with El Capitan 10.11.3. I created a "project" a couple of days ago, yet when I click on each thumbnail to produce a larger picture, it becomes a crazy pixelated mess. Any assistance much appreciated. Thanks

Your photos are contained in the Aperture Library file located in your Pictures folder inside of User folder. Upgrading to El Capitan does not erase or delete your photos.

If your prior version of Aperture was purchased from the App Store app (And, it shows under the Purchases tab in the App Store app), all you need to do is delete your current copy of Aperture and re-download Aperture from the Purchases tab of the App Store app.

This has been covered almost every day in this forum, so searching first should have turned up the same advice.
