How do I sort Photos taken by Different Cameras?

Background: A friend recently gave me a flash drive of her photos from a mutual trip. After the 3 week trip, we have combined over 3,500 unedited photos.

After importing into Photos, my photos and hers are all blended into the same days in Photos. I'd planned to keep some of hers, but mostly will delete them. This is the first time we've done this since migrating to Photos and I can't figure out how to split these into the kind of events that iPhoto did. When we did this previously, iPhoto would auto-sort into separate events because they were from different cameras. It was a very simple process to go through her "events" delete the pictures I didn't want and then merge the events with my photo events. It will be a very time consuming nightmare to have to sort through the 3,500 photos manually to edit hers out if I can't split them automatically.

My question:

How do I change the view in Photos so I can see photos taken on the same day with different cameras seperately? Similar to the separate events we saw in iPhoto. Please say there is a way to do this!!!

Thanks

The Moments and Collections view are completely automatic to show the photos taken at the same time at the same location.

You built your own structure on top of this by creating albums. When you import photos from a card, open the Last Import album and create a new album from the new photos. This will be replacement for the old events. You can group your albums with folders, to keep related albums together. See Old Toad's User Tip: Moments in Photos are the New Events

To separate the photos by camera now, after you imported them you can create a smart album as Rysz recommended.

File > New Smart album

For example:

User uploaded file

The drop-down menu will show all camera models in your library. Sometimes the list will take a while to populate. Then wait, until you are seeing the camera you are looking for.
