Pages has little been driving me crazy.
So basically I'm trying to make a pretty in depth outline with some formatting, but no pictures or anything too crazy. I've got 2 columns, and the majority of my text is size 10 and then size 6.
for example,
1. Gorillas in Congo (Gorillas blah, blah balboa..etc etc)
2. Monkeys in New York (Monkies blah, blah balboa..etc etc)
So the title text is size 10 and the descriptive text is size 6 (as is the parentheses themselves). It's got two columns and is number-list format. It looks really nice, making it easy for me to single out titles, but then also read the fine print when necessar BUT here's the problem: LAG
like the list gets to 25 or so and the lag becomes soo annoying every time I even click to edit/copy/cut. Basically by the middle of the 2nd column on page 1 it becomes super annoying. At some point the document was 4 pages long, then I split each section into their own individual pages (thinking that would help) and it does up until half a page or so.
my ipad 4 is up to date as is my pages. While the iPad 4 isn't the most recent of ipads, it handles Vain Glory and other waaaay more intensive with far less lag. I have at least 5 gb of free space and ive really optimized and tweaked my iPad.
it seems to only happen in pages (and possibly notes). I mean, it's just a word processor----it shouldn't lag that much or that often. I should be able to handle a 50 page document like this before experiencing the same level of latency.
Maybe there's an iPad setting having to do with accessibility that's causing this? something is up? Maybe there is someone out there that can suggest a list of things to try or can point me in the right direction. Spellcheck is even off (I hate seeing that red line while typing).
please and thank you!
