transfer stalled

I have been trying to transfer all my info to a new macbook pro - it stated the process was to take 24 hours- it is now stuck in '1 minute remaining' since hours ago. I've been trying to transfer over wifi - should I just abort and start over? I prefer to do over wifi as I don't want to have to purchase adapters! Thanks for any info ~moe
