Green Screen - Partial Transparency

Hello!

I am creating a video graphic. One of the components is an image with partial transparency behind text:

I uploaded it into Keynote with a green background s that I could give it animations. Unfortunately, after placing it in the project in iMovie, the translucent part within the red ellipse is an opaque gray, and not translucent.

Is there any way I can fix this?

iMovie - 10.1.1

Keynote - 6.6.1

Thank you for your time!

I'm not too familiar with Keynote. However, I think that the problem might be that you are working with a transparency while using

green screen. I copied your logo with a screen shot, which gave me a jpeg instead of a transparent png or tiff like you probably are working with.

I changed the gray to green in a photo editing program, and imported it into iMovie, applying the green-blue screen effect. This is what I got.

If the above is what you are looking for, I would convert the png to a jpeg before applying the green in the elipse.

See if that works for you.
