Q: How does an iOS user without Pages app installed access a shared Pages for iCould.com document?
I create and keep my Apple product students' notes on Pages for iCloud.com (with password protection).
When I share these documents with an iOS user, they are unable to access the Pages for iCould.com document on Safari for iPhone or iPad.
If the user doesn't have the Pages app installed, Safari on the iOS device refuses to open it. My OS X students without the Pages app have no problem opening the documents, but iOS users seem to be out of luck.
I've tried the "Request the Desktop Site" option (press and hold the circular refresh icon to get the pop-up option for this), but this doesn't seem to work well -- the iCloud.com site appears, but it is impossible to scroll around in Safari on the website (pinch gesture doesn't work). If Two-Factor authentication is turned on, getting a keyboard to appear to type in the verification code sent to a different device seems impossible, so the login can't be verified.
What gives, Apple? Is the only solution to force my students to buy Pages for iOS?
iPhone 5s, iOS 9.2.1
