setting up a travel journal

Hey there,

I just finished typing out my handwritten travelling journal. Now my desire is to create a PDF file with at the right page text and on the left page pictures (more or less in relation to the text on the right side).

The point is that I can't figure out how to tell Ibooks author that I want it to keep my left (even numbered pages) blank so i can put pictures there later.

Could you please tell me how to fix this?
