Q: To use apple pay in UK on iPhone bought in India

Hi there,

My question is regarding Apple Pay. I bought my iPhone 6s from India. So bottom line is that in India, Apple pay is not yet available, hence no Wallet + Apple pay app. I am right now residing in UK where Apple Pay is available. Now I have been reading other discussion regarding this where it say if I set my Country/Region as UK then Apple Pay should be available. Now I don't even know if it's true. I have tried doing it but still no sign of Apple Pay on my phone either watch. So here comes the real question, Is it actually possible to use Apple Pay in UK on iPhone bought in India and if yes, how do I do it?

Hi

Check the following:

Your region is set to the UK: Settings > General > Language & Region > Region - set to UK.
You have Touch ID or a passcode set up: Settings > General > Touch ID & Passcode.
You are signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID: Settings > iCloud.

Then follow the instructions here:
- Set up and use Apple Pay on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

You will need a supported card from a participating UK issuer:
- Apple Pay participating banks and store cards - Apple Support

If the option to add a card to Apple Pay still does not appear, try restarting (or, if that doesn't work, force restarting) your iPhone:
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
