Q: Not able to send attachments by Mail easily.

Hi

If I try to send a photo or video as an attachment I am repeatedly prompted to use Mail Drop.

I'm usually told the file exceeds a certain size.  These are photos I'm taking with my phone.  I also used to not have a problem sending videos if the videos were less than 40 seconds.

Is there a setting in iPhone that allows me to send an attachment and not be hassled each time?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.3

What is the size of the attachments you are having problems with?

I use AT&T Yahoo and have no issues with attachments under 25 MBs. I would contact your provider if you are having problems under their limits.

Just to be sure you could also reset your Mail account.

First close your Mail App completely from the multitasking window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Mail preview pane up until it disappears from the screen. You may have to look for the Mail pane by scrawling to the left. Then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > locate your email provider and click on the account. On the next page Delete Account. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. You will not lose anything. Then go back to Settings > Mail… and add the account again.

    Thanks

Here is the flag I'm getting. I got the same message trying using my me account as I do with Gmail.

If your attachment is indeed 59.5 MBs, email cannot handle it. My understanding is that Gmail is limited to 25 MBs, just like Yahoo, and me mail is limited to 20. To my knowledge there is no way to get around this other than using a service like Google Drive or Mail Drop.
