Q: I set up an Admin Login with the wrong Apple ID

When I set up a new admin user on my MacBook misspelled my Apple ID. It was accepted, but now I can't log in. So I have no admin privileges and am unable to reset my password because "no Apple ID can be found" when I use the new admin user ID. I tried, and successfully changes the password of my correct apple account, but that didn't help either. Any suggestions?

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
