I understand that you have not been able to successfully back up your iPhone with iTunes recently. We know that situations like this can be frustrating, but we are here to help.
To begin troubleshooting, I suggest reading over and working through the suggest steps outlined in the following article.

I have done all the troubleshooting there is to do to many times to count and the only thing that helps is rebooting the mac and phone. Over and over and over again... I maintain over 20 macs & I don't know how many iPhones and iPads in my business and for my family. I don't think this is me... This is for Apple to fix not users.
