WiFi download speed on iPhone lower than on Windows notebook

Hello,

I did the Ookla speedtest several times on my iPhone 5s and on my HP notebook (Windows 10). The results for the download speed:

iPhone 5s: 30 Mbps

HP notebook: 80 Mbps

Does anyone know how I could increase the download speed on the iPhone?

Remarks:

- Cisco router EPC3925, security WPA2-Personal.

- I ran the tests while sitting on the same spot, approx. 3 meters away from the router.

- When I use a wired ethernet connection, the download speed is 120 Mbps, so the internet connection of the router is fast.

Thanks in advance,

Sjoerd-Jaap Westra

Hi, S.J. Westra.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I understand you are concerned with the speeds of your iPhone 5s on your Wi-Fi network. Since you are able to connect, let's make sure all firmware updates have been processed for your router, make sure settings have been optimized per the article below and that you are connected to the 5 GHz Radio Mode option.
