Activating iMessage without working iPhone

Someone help please....

My iPhone is dead and I am overseas.

I have not activated my iPhone number in iMessage so i can't receive any messages sent to my phone number on my iPad,

QUESTION...

Is there any way without having access to my iPhone, to enable my phone number to iMessage so I can get my message on my iPad?

thank you in advance.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2

Hi MarkSalore,

If you have not activated Messages on your iPhone, then you can't use your phone number for Messages on your iPad. The resource below explains the process. If you are not able to add your telephone number to your iPad, click on the contact Apple Support link below to discuss your specific situation.

Add or remove your phone number to iMessage or FaceTime on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch

Before you begin

You need an iPhone with an active phone number.
You need to be signed in with your Apple ID in FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone.

Add or remove your phone number on your iPad or iPod touch

  1. On your iPad or iPod touch, tap Settings > Messages and make sure that iMessage is on. If asked, sign in with the Apple ID used in Messages on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Send & Receive.
  3. Add or remove your number:

To add your number, select it and your Apple ID under "You can be reached.” If you don't see your phone number, check your settings or contact Apple Support.

Take care,
