How to sync more photos without replacing previously synced photos

When I try and sync one album of photos and videos, the iPad wants to delete and replace all previously synced photos. I simply want to add one album without removing other photos. How do I get that right?

I am using Windows 10, my iTunes version is up to date as is my iPad 2.

iPad 2, iOS 9.2.1

Photos/videos that you sync from your computer can't be deleted directly in the Photos app, instead they are removed by not including them in the next photo sync (so you are effectively telling iTunes to replace the photos/videos that you last synced) - you need to select and sync all the photos/videos that you want from your computer and sync them in one go
