iPad safari links not working. Freezes safari if I try to open link in new window.

I'm using iPad 2 with iOS 9.2.1.

When I try to open a link it is just doing nothing.

When I try to open this link in a new Safari window, Safari freezes.

Then I'm using Firefox. The links in the same window don't work but they work fine when open in a new window of Firefox.

Can you help me?

Also My Safari update: and now 9.3 won’t open most links anymore, i.e. tapping on a link on a page does not do anything.

When I do tap and hold (to get to open in new tab), it freezes and eventually crashes.

I tried everything - disable content blockers, delete website data, kill app, restart iOS.

Tried Chrome, and it doesn't work there on simple taps, but tap and hold works, and I can open them in a new tab at least.

I found a bad turnaround but it works a little bit more.

Disable JavaScript in safari settings.

THen it works but without all the features JavaScript can bring.

I Have the same problem with mail: a tap on a link to the webin an email freezes mail.

FOr this i have no turnaround.

HEY APPLE, do something to correct. We are hundreds or thousands with this problem.

Can you imagine having fun with a phone or a pad you can't use to surf on web?

I have this problem for more than 6 weeks now.

what are you waiting for? I move to Android?

I called them today and they are aware of the problem, I didnt get any answers because I hung up after being a n hold for half an hour. It's obviously a problem in the latest update so don't hold your breath till its fixed. I'm using Chrome in the meantime, you can't just click the link but if you hold it down you can open it in a new tab.

OK I also made contact to Apple support but didn't het trough, I'm now werking with Microsoft Outlook as my email prog and I'm abble to follow links in e-mails.

IF you go this route make sure you instal the Chrome internet browser and select in Outlook this browser to open the links. There will still be the problem in Chrome hold the link and open in a new tab.

It's to bad Microsoft didn't make a version of Internet Explorer, I would have installed that just to show my frustration about Apple.

I can work on my IPad air 2 again and after Apple releases the fix that wil be the last update that I will ever install.
