If your carrier is, in the U.S., Sprint or Verizon, there are no settings on the phone itself to enable call forwarding. Even though the feature is most likely on your account, you'll need to find out what code you'll need to use. For example, with Verizon, you dial *72 followed by the number to which you want to forward then press call. To disable, you call *73.
