Q: Most efficient way to download a photo from iCloud?

With my iPhone 6's photos optimized (Settings / Photos & Camera / Optimize iPhone Storage), only lower-res copies are physically on my iPhone. But I would like to have a few originals available to print, say, when at a self-serve photo Kiosk. What is the most efficient way to do this? Is there an app for this? (grin)

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1, null

    Apologies for the late reply...

Optimization is based on, among ather not necessarily publically-known, criteria on Most Recent and Most Accessed images.

Bottom line, if you tap the thumbnail to view it, or edit it, Photos will keep it locally in full-resolution.

either open it to edit on the phone which downloads the original or use iCLoud.com and download it
