how can i do mail merge in pages ?

I am working on the most recent OS X and I'm still getting used to pages. I'm used to the old Claris Works /Apple Works and I'm not yet convinced Pages is even close in comparison. Nonetheless, I'm trying to do a mail merge and Pages does not even list it in the "help"section. I have discovered that you might be able to do MM through contacts and pages. Even so , with no instruction to help with data display , missing fields in some records, and conditional merging, I 'm hesitant to begin. Is anyone aware of any user guides that detail the mail merge process? Or is anyone experienced in doing mail merges in Pages? Or is there a better program installed that does MM's? Thanks!
