My internet is supposed to be faster than it is, I'm wondering how I figure out the max speed of my wifi card to see if thats the bottleneck

Your max speed from the card is 300mbps, I doubt that your ISP can provide more than that.
Yeah that is faster than my internet, which is 200mbs, although for some reason I'm not getting more than 70, using an airport express, and my internet company is insisting I am getting 200 coming in
Run a cable directly from the modem to the computer, how fast is that?
I can't really reach the cable modem to my desktop, but is there a reason I shouldn't be able to get the full speed over wifi?
Yes, many, but until you know how much you are actually getting this is all speculative. Run a wire, then you'll know.

Just ran a wire and I am in fact getting 233mbps download speed, so i guess its something with the wifi

No, they are modes that the card can adopt, we need to know what it is using. Hold the option key down and click on the wifi icon (top right) look for he PHY made and transmit rate (TX rate) numbers. Then tell me what they say.

WiFi is usually about 70% of the hardwired speed, reception permitting. Its a radio so location will be critical (I have an N card, I get 145Mbps at 15 ft from the transmitter. Consider moving your router closer.
The strange thing is, even when using a laptop thats right next to the router, I'm still getting the 65-70 Mbps, so seems like I should be able to do better
