my ipod fell in the toilet and when i dired it off i swiped the screen and now has a password. before all this happened i never had a password. this passcode is unkown to me what do i do?

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup
Then restore via iTunes. The iOS device will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
