Q: Lost Notes over night - HELP

Went to bed last night, all my notes, the 'on my mac ones' present.

 

Woke up the morning, opened my laptop and the notes application had an error, it said it couldn't open(or save) a file or something. I quit it and relaunched, to my horror, all my notes had disappeared, even the ones in icloud. I have the icloud ones on other machines but seem to have lost the ones on the mac.

 

I've searched the web and opened the ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/NotesV6.storedata file, but it's missing half my notes.

 

There's some of my notes in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/NotesV6.storedata.wal but again, they're not all there, and they're all jumbled up.

 

Anyone help me out? is there anywhere else notes stores its files? I didn't have a backup.

    If you didn't have a backup, there's no way that I can see for you to recover the information.  I'm sorry.  This is why backups are crucial.  You never know what can suddenly go wrong.
