I received an email saying that my apply id was used to purchase "Hello" by Adele ($2.79) from iTunes Store on a device that had not been associated with me. Asking me to go to a website 'http://apple.com/support/cancel' to cancel the transaction. Is it true?

There isn't an Apple site with that address. It may be a phishing attempt to get you to enter your Apple ID password. You can use the following instructions to see your purchase history without using that link: See your purchase history in the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC - Apple Support
