Q: Is it possible to swap to the 42mm Watch from the 38mm?

My dad gave me the Apple Watch Sport with Blue sports band for Christmas, it was very unexpected and i have very much adored it since the moment i put it on for the first time.

The only little problem i have (you could call it a first world problem..) is that i would prefer the slightly larger size of the 42mm, the 38mm just seems a little bit too small for my wrist (i'm not sure of my wrist measurements, but i wear the small band, the second hole to the end of the band fits me perfectly) so is it possible to walk into my local Apple Store and ask to swap for the 42mm and pay the difference between the sizes? Or should i just put the AW up on eBay or another site, and just buy a new 42mm directly from Apple?

And also, we don't have a receipt for the Apple Watch, neither do we know when it was bought originally.

    Hi

This is user-based technical support community.

Apple's standard returns policy in the US, for example, for items that have been purchased directly from Apple provides for returns within 14 days (conditions apply) and also requires the original proof of purchase.

This information aside, I'm afraid that no-one here can tell you what Apple will decide. Your best option is to ask at your local Apple Store.

(It is also not allowed here to speculate about Apple decisions).

    Hi

The best way is to sell on ebay then buy a 42mm watch .

    Cheers

Thank you so much Jonathan UK and Briansyddall for your answers, i've been thinking it over since i posted here and i think i'm going to go ahead and save my money for the 42mm

I did go a little band crazy between christmas and now, i bought a extra four bands for the 38mm (including 2 more sports bands and also the Milanese Loop and the Link Bracelet, they all came from CEX a second hand shop, so altogether they costed me around the same price of the new Black Milanese loop, around £170-180), and i'll be selling those on eBay to go towards the 42mm and i'll keep my 38 for my collection.

So, thank you so much guys for your comments, i'll get the 42mm someway, somehow!
