Mar 21, 2016 3:16 PM in response to marcelfrenetby LukeSparrow,iPad2 refused to log me in,
so i tried with iTunes which refused to log me in because I needed two steps authentication with ipad,
then I had to:1) change my password because I couldn't use 2steps authentication
2) receive a code on my mobile
3) turn off two steps authentication
4) set up Q&A recovery
5) log off from itunes
6) log in to iTunes
7) Turn off the ipad
8) Turn on the ipad
9) insert the unlock code on the ipad
10) plug in to the pc
then it worked as you stated (iTunes asked me to log on again...)
Quite tricky...

Mar 21, 2016 3:51 PM in response to Beano70by SBA-Mac,Hopefully you have an iCloud account. If so, go to www.icloud.com and under Find My iPhone, select your iPad and unlock it from there.
If no iCloud account, you can put your iPad in the Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode and then your iTunes application should see it. Then you can reinstall the iOS update.
Hope one of these solutions will work for you.
