Too many credit cards associated.

So I don't own a credit card, I buy visa gift cards and register the billing info and all that good jazz. This time it says I have had too many different cards. I've tried looking for a solution (don't know why apple doesn't want my money) and resetting the billing info to blank and putting the card # back in didn't change the result. I'm not willing to abandon my account because as I've said before I've spent real money into it. I can't go to the store and say "swap this with an itunes card now" so am I just out of luck? This is so frustrating.
