Time Machine is TOO LONG
Upgraded to el capitan on an imac. NEVER did Time machine take very long.
It now is all hung up preparing for ever and then says it will take 3 hours??
what's wrong?? Do I just forget about doing Time Machine.

I'd let it go on, there are lots of new files.
The first time I ran Time Machine it said that it would take 23 hours! It actually took less than 2.
Initial estimates are always wrong!
Thanks for responding. Left computer on over night. Said 3 hours.
Perhaps this is related to many files...
My hope is this will not be every time I run time machine.
Glad it's done for now.
23 hours? Glad that wasn't 'for real'.
Mine went back and forth between 2 and 3 hours.
At least it's done (for now)
