Q: Appld ide blocked

Hi, My son forgot his Apple ID. we've tried to recover it but he forgot what gmail address it should go to. The message we get is that we should reset the password at appleid.apple.com .What can we do?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1

Yes, but the ID is blocked and it's not working, It doesn't let me reset it.
