Upgrade my Itunes as prompted to 12.3.3.17.

Has anyone updated the current version. I did tonight.

Here's my problem. Now I cannot update my 35 apps in itunes. All that I can do now is go to the App Store. Help. I knew I shouldn't have updated to the current version.Ugh

Yep same here. Just updated windows iTunes to v12.3.3.17 and iPhone to iOS9.3 and have the same problem.

Can't see any of my apps in iTunes - nothing appears under 'Ay Apps', 'My iPhone Apps', 'My iPad Apps' or 'Updates" tabs. Only the 'App Store' works.

No dramas with the fonts or images though (yet).

See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash for the content issue.

For the connectivity problem try the following:

  1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
  2. Plug in your device
  3. Locate Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
It is also possible the device may show under Imaging Devices, Portable Devices or Other Devices or as an MTB USB Device.
  4. Right-click and select Update Driver Software...
  5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
  6. Browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
  7. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
  8. Click Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
  9. Click Next, then Close and exit Device Manager

Or try If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support.

Failing that try a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes as set out in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

Hi I had the same problem, I update to iTunes 12.3.3.17, rebooted my PC and no access to iTunes app updates. Here is were what I did to fix this for me I hope it helps some of you out.

I went back to iTunes, I signed out of iTunes by going to the "Store" menu and choosing the option "Sign Out"

Next I signed back in again by going back to the "Store" menu in iTunes and chose to "Sign In". I immediately tried to download the apps, but still no luck, that took about 10 seconds, not sure if this part matters, but perhaps giving iTunes sometime to process the information I gave it helps.

Anyways last but not least, I closed iTunes, waited 3 seconds then relaunched it, and immediately I was able to see and download my app updates.

Just an FYI I am running Windows 7 64Bit Ultimate, maybe that detail might help

Cheers I hope this fixes the problem for you.

See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for tear down and rebuild instructions.

See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash to restore your playlists.

See Re: reinstalled itunes on new pc and all songs duplicated for deduping advice. The script I've written only works on what is connected to the library so if you've restored a working version of your library, but tracks are doubled up in the media folder, then you may need to add them to iTunes with File > Add Folder to Library before you can clean up.

I have some suggestions that might help. first off, regarding your iTunes library, did you by any chance create a custom library location?

If so, I'd check your iTunes settings, it might be looking at two different locations of your library, some of which might be missing some of the items you listed. If you didn't create a custom library location try renaming the current folder you library files are in then restore that folder to the same location, from a backup or shadow copy from yesterday.

Regarding the crashing problems in normal desktop mode, check to see if all your Windows updates are in place while avoiding KB3035583, that KB will install the Windows 10 nagware. Then check to see if iTunes is stable, if not, then check for video and network card driver updates. If it is stable in safe mode, it's a good chance a driver or missing Windows update is your issue.

I hope this helps

cheers

Thanks turringtest2 that fixed my IOS device recognition issue. Something in the iTunes updated must have glitched when it came time to update the Apple USB driver.

Edit:

I had to do this twice. Once for the iPad and once for the iPhone. The second time I just right clicked the driver>clicked update drive>automatically search for driver and it worked.

tt2 and basebrick,

Thanks for the help. The duplicate issue turned out to be a simple fix (just wasn't thinking straight yesterday). Restored my library to right before I updated iTunes, and it worked like a charm. I've also discovered that iTunes only crashes when I'm connected to my work network and try to access the store/radio, so it looks like the new version of iTunes just isn't playing well with some specific networks right now.
