Mar 23, 2016 8:15 AM in response to turingtest2by HeathBar_Grove,tt2 and basebrick,
Thanks for the help. The duplicate issue turned out to be a simple fix (just wasn't thinking straight yesterday). Restored my library to right before I updated iTunes, and it worked like a charm. I've also discovered that iTunes only crashes when I'm connected to my work network and try to access the store/radio, so it looks like the new version of iTunes just isn't playing well with some specific networks right now.

Mar 23, 2016 8:33 AM in response to HeathBar_Groveby basebrick,Hello HeathBar_Grove
I'm glad to hear the restore did the trick, you might want to try updating your network card driver. Keep in mind, Apple's world is all about updating, moving forward and making sure updates work with current updates. So it is possible, if you find a new network card driver, it may fix your problems with the iTunes radio. Good luck
Cheers

Mar 23, 2016 11:56 AM in response to OrInbar21by turingtest2,Such errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. JavaScriptCore.dll is part of Apple Application Support and can normally be found in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Mar 23, 2016 12:09 PM in response to OrInbar21by basebrick,I Have some ideas which might help, first find the location of that JavaScript dll file, remember where it is or make a shortcut to its folder. Next, uninstall all versions of Java from your PC. Confirm you have even removed any old versions of Java which might still be installed on your mchine. Next reboot the PC. When the PC boots backup to desktop check to see if that same Java dll file still exists on your PC. If it does, rename it and the word "old" in to its file name to disconnect any old registry connections to it, while you are at it check your program files or program filesx86 for old Java folders, if they are there, delete them, next show hidden files and check your "program data" folder, check to see if there are any Java related folders in there, if so, change the name by adding "old" to it, for the same reason as the Java.dll, the program data folder in the root of C: and it is hidden. Now you will want to go to Java.com and get the latest Java version installed, open iTunes and check to see if it fixes the problem, if not, close iTunes, reboot the PC and try iTunes again after a fresh reboot with the new Java installed and see if it works.
Cheers and I hope this helps .

Mar 23, 2016 12:51 PM in response to basebrickby turingtest2,That should not be necessary. Java and JavaScript are independent items. iTunes should install all of the support components that it relies on. When it doesn't, or doesn't update them properly, then it should be possible to sort things out using the steps I posted above.

i just did all of the above, first tried to fix only the dll then when it didn't help i used the guide.
i did this several times, and the problem is happening both with the regular version and the old video cards version.
any chance there will be a 12.3.3.18 to fix it?

Mar 23, 2016 2:07 PM in response to OrInbar21by turingtest2,Take a look at Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support.
Will iTunes open in its safe mode or in another user profile?

Mar 23, 2016 4:14 PM in response to ligedyby PWAppleUser,I updated iTunes to the same latest version 12.3.3.17 on my Windows 10 64 bit PC to find iTunes cannot see my iPhone 5 or iPad Air 2
the pc can see the apple devices as when I connect them my pc has access via Windows to the images on the devices.
the iPad and iPhone ask the question 'allow access to me from the PC' you know the usual message !
apple needs to fix this issue as I use my devices for business and this is so frustrating !

Mar 23, 2016 4:40 PM in response to PWAppleUserby turingtest2,Did you look at this post earlier in the thread? Windows showing the contents of the camera roll doesn't necessarily mean that the correct driver is installed and ready to connect the device to iTunes.

Mar 23, 2016 4:53 PM in response to turingtest2by PWAppleUser,Thank you for you reply. The issue is that there was nothing wrong with my PC with hardware drivers for my iPhone or iPad until I installed apples's latest iTunes 64 bit software On Windows 10. Having done so iTunes cannot see my devices. So it's very simple - iTunes 12.3.3.17 has caused the problem. I will revert to the previous iTunes version until Apple fix this problem.
spending hours of my life messing around with my PC is not going to happen. I run a computer business and have done so for 21 years.
apple need to fix this problem. They wrote the software, it's their installer that has caused the problem with a perfectly good, up to date, fully functional, virus protected HP Windows computer, that has no known issues that I am aware of.
thanks again for your help.

Mar 23, 2016 5:02 PM in response to PWAppleUserby turingtest2,The numbered steps I outlined are considerably less effort than rolling back to the previous build of iTunes. If you're going to roll back to the previous install of iTunes see Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash for steps to recover the previous version of your library file. iTunes 12.3.3 will have updated it so that it cannot be opened by 12.3.2.
