Q: Upgrade my Itunes as prompted to 12.3.3.17.

Has anyone updated the current version. I did tonight.

Here's my problem.  Now I cannot update my 35 apps in itunes.  All that I can do now is go to the App Store. Help.  I knew I shouldn't have updated to the current version.Ugh

This helped me.  My iPod showed up under Portable Devices as Apple iPod. I let the updater find the Apple Mobile Device Driver and install automatically.

Apple Mobile Device USB Driver now appears where it belongs under Universal Serial Bus controllers.

Hey. I updated iTunes to 12.3.3 and now am unable to sync data to my iPhone 5s. It keeps crashing and a message appears that iTunes has crashed and windows will notify me with a solution. I have windows 10 64 bit version. I contacted apple support and they asked me to reinstall iTunes and I did but the problems persists. Help me!

Same here. iTunes is way too wide for my screen (and I have 1920x1080 dual monitor set-up w/ 27" monitors). I tried logging out and back in. I tried restarting the PC and restarting iTunes. Nothing.

OK. so, in safe mode iTunes still crashes when connecting to the store.

I don't have other profiles on my computer but i activated the gust account, iTunes worked fine i even logged in to my apple account and browsed the iStore.

I logged back in to my own profile, created a new iTunes library. i was logged in into my account already and the second i tried to connect to the store iTunes crashed again. I even tried to log out (while it's the new empty library) and when i tried to logged in , it crashed.

maybe there are some apple cashed folders? but wouldn't it be empty when i removed and reinstalled iTunes?

its seems like a very specific user problem but not with files and only the internet connection..

also, the firewall is not blocking iTunes and other programs accessing the inter without any problem.

thanks for all the help btw

Reinstalling generally leaves the library, backup data and caches alone.

    To reset the cache:

Enable the menu bar with Ctrl+B if hidden.

Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Reset Cache.

The Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support link should have details for what to do if iTunes works in one profile but not another. See the section user-specific issues.

Reset the cache didn't work. I already did the user-specific things in the guide with no use..

iTunes work perfectly fine until I try and connect to the store, wither to browse or to update apps. If i'm just going through my library and listen to music everything is working just fine. I can even sync my iphone with no problem.

I hope this will help those on Windows 10 experiencing the problem I had where iTunes would not recognise my iPhone 5 or iPad Air 2 after upgrading iTunes from version 12.3.2 to 12.3.3.17

Having had time to think from yesterday when iTunes failed following an update I did the following.

    Windows 10 64 bit PC

In Device Manager - Uninstall the device driver for the Apple Portable device (NB: was from Microsoft ver 10.0.10586.0 - Dated 21-6-2006 )

In iTunes - De-authorize this computer

    In Control Panel/Programs and Features

    Uninstall iTunes

    Uninstall Apple software update

    Uninstall Apple mobile device support

    Uninstall Apple application support 32

    Uninstall Apple application support 64

Unplug any Apple device ie: iPhone, ipad

    Reboot the PC

    --------------------

Download iTunesSetup 64 ver 12.3.3.17 from Apple

    Install iTunes ( default folder c:\program files (x86)\iTunes )

    Plug in iPhone

    Launch iTunes

VOLIA - it now sees my iPhone and iPad.

All this using nothing complicated - using windows control panel tools, no fancy messing around with DLLs, folders, files.

    Hope this helps

I have the same problem. I updated iTunes and now when I go to apps, I can click on "My Apps", "My iPhone Apps" "My iPad Apps" or "updates" and  the screen doesn't change. It simply says, "Apps you download for your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch appear in your apps library." and a button to go to "Apps in the App Store". Nothing else. No way to see my apps or update them or anything. I don't have a problem syncing my iPhone with iTunes or doing anything else, and there's no crashing, but I REALLY rely on iTunes for updates because my computer is hard-wired to the Internet and thus faster than doing it through my iPhone.

I've scrolled through these posts so far and nothing helps. I HAVE tried signing out and back in and shutting down.

I just right clicked the driver>clicked update drive>automatically search for driver and it worked.

I spent 2 hours on phone and chat with Apple support.  Apparently they intend the fonts and images to be so large that the Itunes Store is unusable.  Or at least it is a feature of 12.3.3.17.   Do you think the developers secretly work for Google or Amazon?

I guarantee they will have a patch out within a week once they realize (I'm sure they already have) that their iTunes store sales are plummeting because people can hardly find a way to purchase music on their PC. I was able to purchase a song in a roundabout way, but most people aren't going to deal with the hassle.

Hope it will help others too.

I'm having an almost same problem ... updated to 12.3.3.17 and all of the sudden my iPod Touch, iPad, and iPhone are no longer recognizable ...

tried updating the apple mobile device usb driver, didn't do anything.

tried downloading and installing apple mobile device usb driver, nothing

tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, nothing.

    tried restarting devices, nothing.

This needs to get fixed ASAP

If iTunes has installed and runs then you probably don't need to reinstall it. Try Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support and see what happens if you open iTunes in its own safe mode. Try changing your screen resolution and/or font scaling settings to see if that makes your particular issue go away.
