Activation failed on iPad 2 after iOS 9.3 update. What to do now?

Really disappointed with Apple right now - obviously many people are having this issue with the latest update. My daughter is unable to do her homework because of this, she has been trying to activate her iPad for several hours without success and is very upset.


For Apple to insist that we have to pay for support when it is clearly their issue is beyond unacceptable.


Sorry no help here - I have tried the various methods suggested by people here without any success.


All we can hope is that Apple gets their collective thumbs out of their proverbials and fix this. All too late for my daughter though.
