help ...all my notes have dissappeared.
All my notes dissapeared on my osx 10.9
and then on my ipad....
how do i get them back

If you are using iCloud to sync, check at iCloud.com to see if the notes are there.
This references is from Yosemite, but may be the same or close. User/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Core Data/External Records/C571FE8D-DB21-438E-AA58-16DD5901A331/Note/_records.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library.
