Apr 7, 2016 3:07 PM in response to psikofunksterby sebastianchico,Well, I just moved to Windows 10 (not because of this issue but because some recent software that appeared a few days ago and required this W10) and I did an upgrade (not a clean installation).
Now I have a "modern" but uglier OS if I compare it to W7. I mean, I like the new folders and some other cool features but W7 was better IMO (sorry... I went offtopic).
The thing is, that GDIPP is still working but only in some programs and there's no 100% coverage like W7 used to have.
What I'm trying to say, regarding to the topic, is that iTunes looks and works exactly as it used to and the fonts, icons and right menu are fine.
The OS font size is still set in 125% (I tried 100% but they looked too pixelated and tiny).
I found out that W10 does not have that "XP style" option to uncheck (I guess it was too obsolete to include it).
Conclusion: it looks that the issue was W7 exclusive and for people using 125% font size and it seems that Apple won't fix that and, if you're having problems with iTunes and using those two things, I would unckeck that "XP style" or set the fonts back to 100% or upgrade to W10.

Apr 7, 2016 3:22 PM in response to sebastianchicoby psikofunkster,Nope, i won't take any of those.
but you forgot a fourth one -> Stop buying on the iTunes Store. or even a fifth one: wait for the revamped iTunes coming soon...
When the time comes for millions of users to stop using Windows 7 (in 4 years time more or less, currently still installed on 50% of the machines worldwide) then i will worry about adopting a possible Windows 11 not before, i have 0 need to adopt windows 10 right now.

Windows 10 is unstable and sadly you will find that with the use of it. You are pretty much another Windows 10 beta user now...

Apr 7, 2016 4:00 PM in response to psikofunksterby hornacho,I called Apple Support last week. I was on the phone probably 45 minutes with them and they didn't make me go through all the usual uninstall/reinstall procedures. They kept moving me up to different levels of support. They seemed to care about the problem especially since I mentioned that I'm having trouble buying products in the ITunes Store. I sent them screen shots of the malfunctioning ITunes store and how I'm being affected. I also sent them this Apple Support Community page to show them others are having the problems.
They seemed to want to help and were going to send the info to their development team. I will follow up with them after the next update if things are still bad. They agreed that you shouldn't have to change the DPI settings to get it to work properly.
My suggestion to everyone is call Apple Support. The more people that call, I think eventually they will figure out that they are losing money from a group of people and they might try to fix. They seemed like they were going to work on it. Let's hope!

Apr 15, 2016 9:15 AM in response to yourmaineguyby psikofunkster,I don't know guys i have a bad feeling about this. I'm afraid iTunes is gonna end like this:
Apple stops patching QuickTime for Windows despite 2 active vulnerabilities
Security firm urges Windows users to uninstall media player.
and yes i'm gonna uninstall it ^
Apple just don't care about windows users anymore.

Apr 17, 2016 5:14 AM in response to psikofunksterby Fishweasel,This is not just a Windows 7 problem, as I have the same issue with Windows 8.1. The correct font flashes for less than a second before it re-sizes exactly as is shown in the original post. Hopefully if enough Windows users send info to Apple they will patch it. As one response mentioned, it's going to make it hard for people to buy on iTunes trying to navigate this screen. I can't even get to my saved Wish List anymore when using a laptop....

Apr 17, 2016 12:32 PM in response to Fishweaselby sebastianchico,Have you tried my "solution" ? Check it out in one of my comments.
Now I know that it's not W7 exclusive because you report the same issue with W8.1.
I said I wasn't going to upgrade to W10 but I finally did it because I needed to install a program that required that OS.
Does W8.1 have that "XP style" option to uncheck? If so, why don't you give it a try? It won't mess anything and you can go back and check it again if you find something wrong.
Like I said, I used to have W7 a few days ago but I went straight to W10 (I guess I'll never know what W8 and W8.1 were really like).
My suggestion, once again: try to uncheck that "XP style" option (if you have it) or upgrade to W10 for free.
W10 doesn't have that XP option and I assume it's hidden and unchecked (according to its behaviour when I use 125% font size).
I will always use that size because I hate tiny fonts. Also, I use font renderers to make fonts look like they should. I used GDIPP on W7 and now I'm using MacType on W10.
My biggest complaint for Microsoft has always been the awful and useless font rendering (ClearType *****).
So, in the mean time, while you wait for Apple to fix this (maybe they'll never do that) you can try my suggestions.
See ya!

Apr 19, 2016 11:35 PM in response to sebastianchicoby QF1,Unchecking the "Use Windows XP style DPI Scaling" in the Windows 7 "Display/Make text larger or smaller/ Set custom" menu has worked for me.

Apr 24, 2016 5:41 PM in response to sebastianchicoby Fishweasel,Unfortunately, this solution won't work with Windows 8.1, as this option has been removed. There is an option to "disable display scaling on high DPI settings", but I've tried this and it doesn't fix the font issue, even after clearing the iTunes cache. If anyone knows how to disable the XP style DPI scaling on Windows 8.1 or any other solution (other than changing the system font to 100%), I'm open to suggestions. Again, like others in the post I don't want to change the font to 100% across the board as it makes all of the other text unreadable for me.

Apr 27, 2016 6:31 PM in response to hornachoby fujin_spirit,I have Windows 10 Pro and I have a DPI scaling of 125%, and I have the same problems as seen in the first screenshots of this thread.
I had a life chat with apple. After 4 or 5 times transferring to someone who could fix the problem (not), I gave up. These persons didn't understand the problem. I even linked them to this forum post, to tell them that there where other people with the same problems in the iTunes store. More people with the same kind of print screens. But nothing. They closed the call. I think they don't care about windows users anymore.
I bought ALL my music on iTunes. But now, I even can not see the top 50 of my country. So Bye Bye iTunes. And here we come Spotify.
By the way. I think it's the build in browser. The iTunes Store is the only part of iTunes that has problems with these DPI scaling. The iTunes store is the only part that is browser based. Probably a lighter version of Safari or so. In the passed, chrome and fireworks had the same problems. And they had noticed it, and fixed it relatively fast.
I hope apple will see that they are going to loose money with this, and that they should fix it.

Apr 29, 2016 7:53 PM in response to fujin_spiritby psikofunkster,Not only the iTunes Store is affected, the Apple Music section too, at least for me.

Apr 29, 2016 8:48 PM in response to psikofunksterby hornacho,Yeah the Apple Music section is messed up for me as well. I never noticed it before because I'm not using Apple Music at the moment. I really hope Apple fixes this in the next update.
