Disabled iPad and iCloud questions

After installing the latest IOS on my iPad on Saturday it didn't recognise my passcode (which I hadn't changed) and after 6 attempts has disabled the iPad and I believe I now have to do a restore 😠 I'm concerned about losing my photos and wonder if in fact they are in the iCloud or not as I also have an Ipad mini and not all photos that are on the iPad and what I thought would be in the iCloud appear on the iPad mini. I'm fairly confident I had Photostream enabled on the iPad but it is definitely enabled on the iPad mini. I have tried to log in to iCloud via my PC and iPad mini however I keep getting an error message. Is there any other way of retrieving the photos on the iPad before I do a restore?

Cheers!

Hello ,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that your iPad is not accepting your passcode, and has become disabled. Given you're trying to save photos taken on your iPad, I recommend that you plug it in to your computer and import the photos:

Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer

If you can provide more information on the errors you're receiving with iCloud, we can try to assist with that as well.

Take care.

Hello,

I have tried to import the photos to my PC but am not able to. The iPad connects (tells me its charging) but on the PC I don't get any recognition that it is connected. I tried my iPod which worked fine so I'm assuming because the iPad is disabled that this is the reason I'm unable to import?

The error message when trying to log in to iCloud from my PC is: Connection error. iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server. This has been for days now.

Thank you for your help, its VERY much appreciated!!

Update....

I have now been able to connect to iTunes and have access it to do a restore. However during the restore process (after files are extracted) I get an error "an unknown error occurred (Error 3194)". I am then referred to a page which gives suggestions on how to help repair this error. I have done ALL that is suggested and nothing has worked.

Any further suggestions please?
